This weekend we had the opportunity to participate in the MusiCounts Concert Series at the Horseshoe in Toronto. The event was a celebration of Canadian Music, and we were fortunate enough to share the stage with many of the Canadian musicians that we have looked up to for a very long time. The night was a lot of fun, and not one that will soon be forgotten; bucket list kind of stuff. Thanks to everyone who came out to support a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. Go to www.musicounts.ca for more info on a great charity. This weekend we leave for Austin Texas, where we will be playing at South by Southwest and ingeniously shaving a week and a half off the Canadian winter. Max’s love affair with Friday Night Lights will most likely make him insist we stop in Dillon, Texas on the way to Austin. Mike and I will protest. Tim and Anthony will try to figure out what Friday Night Lights is. If anyone is heading down to Texas for the festival, we will be playing shows all week long. These shows include a Paste Magazine party with the Jesus and Mary Chain on Thursday (March 15th) at the Belmont, Fryeday 2012 (March 16th) at Buffalo Billiards, and a Saturday night (March 17th) show at Emo’s with fellow countrywomen Lights. The week should be a lot of fun, or as they say in Spanish, a lot of “diversion”. There is an accent over the o, but I can’t find it on the ole keyboard. I’ll leave ya with a video from Saturday night, which was again, way too much diversion.
