The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Arkells are thrilled to announce that the multi-award winning Hamilton band has released a new single that will serve as the official anthem of the 143-year-old Canadian Football League franchise, ‘Ticats are Hummin.’
‘Ticats are Hummin’ is now available for download by visiting Ticats.ca. Proceeds from iTunes downloads will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton.
As the official anthem of the Tiger-Cats, ‘Ticats are Hummin’ will be heard inside the stadium before kickoff and immediately following victories, while the chorus will play after touchdowns. The song’s official music video will make its debut at the Labour Day Classic on September 3, when the Ticats host the Toronto Argonauts at Ivor Wynne Stadium.
“There’s a wealth of history and culture tied between the Ticats and the city of Hamilton, and we wanted the song to represent this uniquely Hamilton experience. We’re honoured that the Ticats gave us the opportunity to share this song with the city, and fans of Canadian sports,” said Arkells.
