HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
January 13 2010
If you own a television set with even the most basic of cable, you may have seen five handsome gentleman singing a song in honor of their fare province. Make no mistake, that's us performing the newest rendition of "there's no place like this" promoting all things that are beautiful about our home, Ontario.Â
Also, see if you find the easter eggs: Which Arkells member is skiing? Which one is playing on the Raptors? See if you can find all five super heroes.
Lastly, we are stoked to be heading to the olympics next month. Here's a little know fact: Mike ski's under the name Jean-Luc Broussard and Dan's birth name is Kurt Browning.

Bookie & Arkells 2nd Annual Holiday Bash
December 16 2009

A few words about: December 22 - Charity Show at the Horseshoe -
Happy Holidays everyone!
We've had a lot of eager beavers ask us about the Second Annual Bookie/Arkells Charity Bash that's taking place on December 22nd at the Horseshoe in Toronto.
A few key points about this show:
1) IT'S FREE ADMISSION, however there will be the opportunity to donate money at the show. All money donated will go to the OSPCA and The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada
2) THIS IS NOT A NORMAL ARKELLS SET: We are going to play our favorite Motown Hits from the 60's, and a few other surprises. If anyone requests "The Choir", we will politely thank you for your enthusiasm, and then inform you that "same old song" by the Temptations is a far superior song, especially for this joyous occasion. (However, we promise to make it up to you, and play "The Choir" at our next Toronto show.)
3) GET THERE EARLY because it'll probably get packed really quick. We don't want to see your sad face standing outside in the cold, debating whether or not to buy a hot dog. But in the event you do want to buy a hot dog, it is entirely possible to start a bargaining war between the two vendors at Queen and Spadina, pitting them against each other. Try to get their asking price down to $1.00. I've done it before.
4) Hollerado and In Order of Good Cheer are opening, and both of those bands are awesome.
5) It's gonna be soooo much fun!!!!
See ya there!
XOXOXOXOX
